Our client is a leading chocolate producer and distributor. To strengthen its position on the Romanian market, our customer is currently looking for a high professional in the position of:
TECHNICAL & MAINTENANCE MANAGER
Operational responsibilities:
- In this position, he will be responsible for maintenance of all production equipment to maximize production capacity availability by:
- Coordinating all troubleshooting tasks required to maintain company equipment in proper working, while ensuring quality and spending controls are in place and monitored
- Documenting, implementing and controlling preventative maintenance to achieve the lowest possible cost of manufacturing while using innovative team building skills to improve productivity and process
- This position will be highly visible and have a high level of accountability to both peers, Production Manager, Quality Manager, under the supervision of the Manufacturing Director
- Under the direction of the Manufacturing Director, he will develop, implement and direct preventative maintenance programs. He will provide recommendations in purchasing production equipment, coordinate outside contractors to support maintenance function, oversee hazardous waste areas, work closely with production and other departments to develop and implement process improvements through fixtures, equipment modifications, etc.
Key activities :
- Supervision and management of the entire maintenance department
¿ Organizes teams and shifts within the department to cover all opening time of production
¿ Organizes dedicated days and time slot for Preventative and predictive maintenance programs
¿ Manages warehouse keeping for spare parts
- Organizes repair and day-to-day maintenance of equipment
¿ Defines, implement and maintain required monitoring of interventions, troubleshooting by section, line, equipment, to manage cost efficiency, team efficiency while maximizing TUR (total utilization rate) of equipments
¿ Insures information collected is correct and used for daily/ weekly debrief with troubleshooting teams
¿ Relays information to improve preventative maintenance programs
¿ Encourages suggestions from employees which will improve production, quality, safety and/or control costs of production.
- Organizes Preventative Maintenance (PM) Program
¿ Documents and maintains electronic listing of all line, equipment, spare parts of the factory with frequency for changes, last breakdown and causes analysis, possible suppliers, availability of spare parts in warehouse¿.
¿ Organizes and maintains spare part warehouse while fitting in allocated budget
¿ Defines PM¿s program based continuously updated historical data: on day-off for production and in operating phases
- Participates to purchasing planning with Commercial department and budgeting process with Finance department
- Responsible for cost justifying, compiling specifications, participating and overseeing installing of new equipment
- Keeps senior management informed, through periodically reports, on operating and/or staffing problems which may require their attention or knowledge
Skills /profile :
- Technical or Electrical engineer degree (Automatics / Electrotechnics ¿ advantage)
- 5+ years experience, progressively Maintenance Manager, ideally in food and beverages environment
- Familiar with ISO and HACCP
- Has gained an in-depth knowledge of preventative maintenance methodologies, practices
- Ability to implement, manage and update computerized maintenance management system
- Ability to supervise department personnel in a fair and consistent manner
- Ability to recognize problem situations and take appropriate steps to resolve, results oriented
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with all levels of the organization
- Ability to work cross functionally with Production and Quality
- Knowledge of basic mechanics, electrical, automation, food fabrication, preventative maintenance, plant operations and government safety regulations
- Ro/ English speaking
