Responsibilities:
1. Is responsible for the planning, implementation and administration of the informatic system.
2. Defines the requirements for the informatic system and the IT Infrastructure according to company’s business needs. Design, implement and administrate the informatic system.
3. Install, configure and administer the Microsoft Windows and/or UNIX /Novell servers.
4. Evaluate the various service packs and security patches for the servers’ operating systems, test their implementation and apply these to the operational environment.
5. Involve in creating, testing and documenting the backup and recovery procedures of the various servers administered.
6. Perform required Active Directory management operations for the managed servers.
7. Troubleshoot the servers’ functioning, their load as well as predict future system demands and plan required hardware and software updates coping with the new load.
8. Participate in the establishment, evaluation and carry-out of servers’ related policies, including determining the appropriate hardware and software landscape that maximizes redundancy and minimizes down-time.
Job requirements:
- University degree, preferably in computer science or high school degree combined with relevant experience.
- 3 to 5 years of working experience; previous work in international companies desirable.
- In depth knowledge of Windows and/or UNIX server operating systems, especially of server administration and monitoring.
- Profound knowledge/experience with installation, configuration and administration of servers (databases, web servers, e-mail servers, file servers, etc).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and good understanding of corporate Microsoft infrastructure.
- Working knowledge of English language.
- Flexible and adaptable personality, good organizing and prioritizing skills.
- Imagination, capacity to find innovative solutions.
- Certifications in Microsoft Windows and/or UNIX operating system administration a plus.
