Our client is a Romanian corporation engaged in planning, design, consulting, research and management of major road infrastructure projects, both in Romania and abroad.
In order to strengthen its position, our customer is currently looking for a high professional in the position of IT Manager.
The purpose of the position is to develop, implement and maintain the information technology (hardware) and management information systems (software) of the company in order to increase performance and productivity..
Customer service:
- Develops, implements and maintains the required data bases of the firm.
- Develops, implements and maintains the required internet site.
- Solves day to day problems with computers, printers, telecommunications and operational software.
- Trains users on operational software and use of data bases.
- Promptly answers any customer request.
I.T. Operations:
- Develops, implements and maintains hardware, telecommunication and operational software strategies.
- Reduces downtime and ensures that the systems are operational 97% of the time and 100% of the time during critical hours.
- Ensures the required back up of the systems.
- Prepares and updates operating procedures for the systems.
- Prepares and tests yearly the contingency plan.
- Assists in developing, testing and implementing the required application software.
Administration :
- Procures equipment and software that is required.
- Establishes service meetings with vendors to jointly resolve potential problems and improve service.
- Prepares monthly report on the sector’s activities and progress towards achieving objectives.
Financial:
- Prepares the yearly budgets for hardware, software and telecommunications.
Human Resources:
- Supervises subordinates through regular coaching and semiannual evaluation meetings.
- Evaluates subordinates performance based on the company’s performance evaluation procedures.
- Leads people by promoting collaboration and teamwork within the department.
- Shows full commitment towards meeting deadlines.
- Meets all reporting deadlines through effective planning and organizing.
Planning:
- Uses personal time management techniques to carry out responsibilities in an effective and efficient manner.
- Prepares monthly work plans with accompanying objectives.
Verification & security:
- Ensures integrity of data by preventing unauthorized access to information through appropriate security measures.
Other:
- Approves expenses within established levels of authority.
- Manages projects assigned by the Executive Director.
Education:
- University degree in an appropriate field ( I.T. engineering, automatics, cybernetics)
Experience:
- 3 years experience in I.T. management.
Skills:
- Good oral and written communication skills in English and Romanian.
- Excellent knowledge of Information technology, server applications, networks, telecommunication and related operational software.
