- Manage delivery of all financial services;
- Manage accounting and reporting process effectively;
- File, review and follow up contracts, down payments, regular payments;
- Prepare month and period end closes within the deadlines and instructions of the Company;
- Prepare tax calculations and declarations, as well as statistical reports;
- Prepare and manage pay roll calculations and related payments;
- Prepare annual statutory accounts;
- Ensure timely and accurate Company statutory, tax and management accounting in accordance with the Company and Romanian GAAP and tax rules,
- Review the financial systems, processes and procedures on an ongoing basis for further development of efficiencies;
- Support the Managing Director in all decisions and manage the execution of instructions;
- Support the mother Company with the analysis of project reporting and management reporting;
- Control operating costs;
- Follow up relevant changes in legislation;
- Prepare and maintain the Accounting Policy of Company;
- Ensure that all processes and decisions are in line with Company’s and the Romanian legal/requirements;
- Manage current assets (liquidity)
- Act as contact person with tax authorities and tax consultants in co-ordination with the mother Company’s Finance Department
- Ensure appropriate communication with business partners;
Our client is a France based main contractor specialized in geotechnical and civil engineering. Employing the latest technological methods and owing to own special civil engineering technologies and traditional and developed deep foundation methods, some hundred objects are standing on secure feet in lot of countries in Central Eastern Europe.
The Romanian subsidiary is one of the major civil engineering companies in Romania, with about 30 employees and a turnover of approximately EUR 10 million.
In order to consolidate, develop and improve the business and operation, our client is looking for a FINANCIAL MANAGER, based in Bucharest.
Requirements:
- 5 years of working experience in a financial department (preferably in an international environment);
- Proactive and supporting business personality with a proven successful track record in qualified accountancy;
- Proven ability of and strong orientation to systematic entrepreneurial and strategic thinking and achieving results;
- Ability to make decisions based on sound business judgement
- Ability to take responsibility;
- Ability to communicate clearly, in both verbal and written form;

Qualifications
- College or university degree in finances / accounting / controlling;
- Fluency in Romanian and English (French and Hungarian are advantages);
- Computer literacy (MS Office);
- Clean driving license.
