Why do we need a Project Manager?..
The Project Manager role is not a new one to any of us at Realnet. In fact everyone here is constantly asked to fulfill some form of project management during the course of their day. And while it's important that each person help manage and coordinate with the team, because of our tremendous growth, bringing on a dedicated, full-time PM has become the most instrumental element to our continued success. To say it another way, the PM role will be the single-most important piece of the Realnet puzzle.
We have a philosophy at Realnet: that our clients should never have to ask for an update from us. We should always be one step ahead of them. This is the core role of the PM. To be that security blanket for our clients, ensuring that everything they need is being taken care of.. what they asked for, how they want it and when they need it.
Keys to excelling at this position:
*The most important word in this role is Manager. We need people that have 2-3 years of directly managing designers and developers. You must have a tech background or you won't cut it.
*Very strong English. This goes beyond simply speaking and writing.. you must be able to hold your own in conference calls with US clients and understand not only language, but tone and culture.
*Exceptional organizational, presentation and communication skills. We know lots of resumes are defaulted with these skills.. we plan on putting them to the test, as these are the most fundamental aspects to any good PM.
*QA: Not only will our PMs coordinate projects, they'll also be jointly responsible for the quality of our sites. You are our last line of defense before the client sees our work, and we hate when clients find something before we do.
*Typical PM stuff: Manage workloads and deliverables of team members, partner with account reps to manage client timelines and expectations, schedule meetings (internal and client-facing), status & calendar updates (direct communications, PM tools, calendar software)
*Flexible work schedule: Your role will span both the Romanian and US business day. The ideal (core) hours for this person are 1:00pm - 9:00pm.

Previous experience as a designer/developer. The best way to understand an engineer is to have once been one.
