General purpose of job:
Responsible for Level 1 / 2 activities for the followings:
- Batch jobs monitoring and support
- TWS (Tivoli workload scheduler) administration
- Baan support
Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible for notification and escalation to the resolution team
- Recognizes and takes appropriate actions to pro-actively prevent technical problems to happen
- Performs tasks within schedule in accordance with established standards and guidance
- Manage priorities in his/her own area and is able to recommend project trade-offs
- Is accountable for individual and/or team work products
- Handles all routine problems or routes them to a more knowledgeable IT professional
- Coordinates and follows change and problem management tickets/issues in his/her area of responsibility
1. Education:
- 4 Year degree. Any credited Technical Diploma/Degree required is a must
2. Experience:
- 1-2 Years applicable experience would be an advantage
3. Skills/Abilities:
- Basic level operating systems management: file management, services, system tools – Unix
- Basic level operating system management: file management, services, system tools – Windows 2003, Windows XP
- Office automation software: word processors, spreadsheets, databases, graphics packages (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, VisioProject, …)
- Database concepts. Types of database organization, access and retrieval techniques: ODBC, SQL Server connections, SQL Queries
- Data communication principles, practices and restrictions: IP, Local Area Network, Wide Area Network, Firewalls
- Baan knowledge will be an advantage
