For one of our clients, an European front runner in the energy sector we are looking for a Trader. Our client is a pioneer in energy trading and portfolio management in Europe and currently they are investing in young European professionals, like you.
Analyse the energy markets and the factors influencing them;
Run a trading book for a certain geographic area and commodity;
Quote prices, bringing liquidity and taking physical/financial positions on the market in order to get maximal value of its actions;
Act as the back-up for other traders;
Report internally about the market and trading strategies;
The Trader reports to the Head of Trading.
University degree in finance, economics or engineering (fresh graduate);
Relevant experience in the energy industry will be valued (maximum 3 years experience);
Deep interest in evolutions in the market, stock exchange etc. and want to develop a broad instead of specialist knowledge on the market: you are willing to study if necessary;
Strong analytical and quantitative skills (good with numbers)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Fluency in English.
