JOB DESCRIPTION:
- provide technical information to Database Administrators to design and create databases for Applications
- design the programming logic based on specifications / user requirements or business requirements to develop applications
- create prototypes of application programs and demonstrate as required to obtain acceptance / approval to proceed
- assist in the preparation of test plans and cases
- support the Application test engineers in any way required to ensure that the application meets its design criteria and functionality
- assist in developing training material, user manuals and application documentation to ensure the effective implementation and management of the application
- work as part of a development team, supporting Project managers and supervisors to achieve programme and project plan schedules and implementation dates
MAJOR RESPONSABILITIES:
- design and develop IT Applications as per specification and system requirements
- automate business processes and deliver world class IT applications for the Business users and managers
- co-ordinate with other IT Staff and user representatives to ensure successful implementation of Client IT Software solutions
WHAT WE EXPECT:
- university degree or similar education in the area of Computer Science
- a minimum of 3 years job experience is required
- knowledge of Microsoft platforms and .NET technologies and programming languages (Visual Studio, C#)
- knowledge of the C++ programming language
- knowledge of RDBMS (SQL Server or Oracle)
- familiarity with open-source software development and iterative
development methods
- knowledge of Oracle Dev2000 or J2E and added advantage
