Performs engineering studies and design of assigned projects within the instrumentation and control-engineering field.
Reviews calculations and design by contractors related to the assigned projects. Also, assists construction division in supervising construction by outside contractors.
Performs engineering work related to the instrument design, procurement and construction aspects for modification projects of revenue nature & minor capital projects handled by the refinery. Studies and implements corrective measures and solutions to engineering problems.
Coordination during construction phase.
As-built drawings and documentation.
Preparation of documents for handing over of projects to refineries.
Participation in technical and progress review meetings as and when organized by project coordinator / Superintendent Engineering Design-PD to sort out inter-disciplinary issues & queries raised by process / construction, industrial safety, outside agencies, etc.
Attending Pre-tender meeting and preparation of minutes of pre-tender meeting.
Attending PSC/HTC meetings.
Identification of special electrical equipment & organizing presentation and vendor literature for the same.
Participation in / assistance in development & modification of company Engineering. Standards / guidelines.
Review of project proposals submitted by Refineries.
Review of miscellaneous documents forwarded to Engineering Design by section outside ED-PD.
Project Coordination activities of these coordinated by Instrument Group.
Co-ordination with other discipline for engineering related site activities lie tie-in with existing process and utilities system, installation, testing, pre-commissioning checks and commissioning of the equipment packages to ensure that systems envisaged for the project are installed and commissioned properly for handing over to the concerned Refinery.
Obtaining budgetary quotations as required for project execution.

In septembrie 2006, PETROCONSULT a primit contractul de a construi, impreuna cu TECHNIP-Franta (Contractorul General EPC), prima rafinarie de petrol din Vietnam (6.5 MTA), la Dung Quat, Vietnamul Central.
PETROCONSULT furnizeaza si Servicii de Training pentru operare si mentenanta pentru aceasta rafinarie, lucrarile fiind in curs.
Compania a participat si participa la proiecte in domeniul industriei de petrol si gaze, in strainatate, in peste 25 de tari.
