Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Liaises with the Sales Manager in works related to tender estimation of civil works contracts
- Leads a group of engineers dealing with technical, commercial and contractual aspects of the tender
- Reviews tender documents, time schedules and bills of quantities
- Prepares estimates of required resources and costs and works out construction methodologies and subcontracting needs
- Communicates with clients as required and works for ensuring optimum tender price as well as effective post award hand over
Requirements:
- University degree in Civil engineering
- Ten (10) years experience in construction
(heavy civil, marine, industrial) of which at least three (3) in a similar position
- Good knowledge of project execution methodology
- High sense of cost awareness
- Fluency in English
- Computer literate particularly in programs relevant to estimation
- Ability to travel extensively and work outside regular work schedule
