You will be developing and maintaining web applications, using PHP as the main programming language, as part of a team of developers. You might also get the chance to work solo on certain projects or tasks.
This is offered as a full time job and requires that you are comfortable with working from home using a permanent internet connection. Working hours are roughly from 16:00 to 24:00 EET/EEST (matching a normal CDT work schedule).
Technical traits:
- Good understanding of OOP
- Good understanding of how the web works
- Good SQL knowledge
- Knowledge of at least two programming languages
- Speaks code
Personality traits:
- Very fast learner
- Passionate about programming
- Very good with English
- Curious about new technologies
You will have an edge over the other applicants if you are also familiar and have some experience with the following technologies: PHP, Zend Framework, MySQL, MongoDB, Javascript, jQuery, CSS, Sass, Compass, Git.
While this job offer is open to any level of experience it is mandatory that you had some contact with web development, regardless of platforms and technologies used.
Since our main revenue source is ultimately traffic, supporting large amounts of it poses some interesting technical challenges. Our projects are designed to be scalable and able to handle large amounts of traffic. As such we consider this a great learning opportunity for anyone with a passion for the web.
Your base starting salary will be $1000 per month. We understand that financial motivation is important so we developed a point/task system that allows you to increase your income depending on your work volume. What this means is that your efforts are directly recognized as such at a financial level.
