Provide on-going support in all areas of UNIX infrastructure, including planning, installation, maintenance, administration of servers and software applications;
Complete ownership of problem and incident management, various audit compliance of the UNIX environment for all customers;
Technical leadership for all/assigned UNIX related projects;
Influences design and development of new and changed systems and services to optimize operational efficiency and contributes to definition of associated standards and techniques;
Develop and maintain procedures and working practices for the efficient and effective running of all tasks associated with operating and controlling installed hardware and software;
Flexible to perform On-Call, Out of office hours activities, travel abroad for short term basis depending upon Business requirements.
In depth knowledge of Solaris and Linux (Redhat or Suse);
Sound working knowledge of OS Patching procedures;
Hands on knowledge of Installing OS on new servers;
Good working experience with Unix clustering Solutions;
In depth knowledge of Unix Mail, (Postfix, Sendmail), Unix security;
Hands on knowledge of Storage technologies - SAN, DAS, NAS;
Sound knowledge of ITIL Framework;
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise workloads according to SLA/ OLA;
Excellent diagnostic skills;
Must be Customer focused and understand the customers service requirements.
