JOB CHARACTERISTICS
- The Technologist signals opportunities based on his technological expertise, competences and customer network, leading to projects in the area of industrial applications, products, processes . He has a strong link with the industrialization process, looking at inputs from Innovation / R&D.
- He translates above-mentioned opportunities into realistic projects after conferring with colleagues. These projects can be within a single discipline, multidisciplinary or strongly innovative across domains.
- The Technologist takes part in the execution or leads them. Usually these projects require teamwork, leading to cooperation with fellow workers from both inside as outside the own organization.
- Inside his competence(s) the Technologist remains actively aware of the advancements in his specific field of expertise, and/or recognizes trends and/or gives actively direction in the further development of his field, leading to influencing the relevant road-map at the customer.
- The Technologist maintains his network with internal and external customers, representatives of other fields of expertise, suppliers or representatives of other knowledge institutes to gain further knowledge and to acquire new assignments.
- The Technologist is proactive and shows entrepreneurial behaviour towards customers.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Signals opportunities to realize industrial opportunities and projects based on the available expertise, competences and his own customer network.
- Initiates independently project proposals in agreement with all relevant stakeholders.
- Participates in projects or leads projects, realizing the agreed deliverables; either contributes to or makes relevant technological choices during the different stages of a project.
- Is responsible, as a project leader, for securing the progress of a project in all its metrics and deliverables and for controlling risks; gives direction to colleagues also from other areas of expertise.
- Is responsible for application and development of products, processes and systems inside his field of expertise/competence, mostly within the context of a project.
- Continually develops his technological knowledge and expertise within his field, both broadly and in depth.
- Builds up know-how and maintains this, acquires new assignments through contacts with internal and external customers, and also with representatives from other fields of expertise, suppliers and knowledge institutes.
- Initiates and gives direction to competence development projects.
On behalf of our client, leading producer of home appliances, we are looking for a Process Technologist for their plant in Orastie (Hunedoara county).
MAIN EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Experience in process, product or system development.
- Industrial experience or affinity.
- Deep technological expertise within minimally one field of expertise/domain during several years.
- Experience in working with or leading project teams technological area.
NECESSARY SKILLS
- In-depth knowledge of a relevant area of application or technology
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, both technical as interpersonal.
- Knowledge of fundamental tools required in an industrial environment.
- A university or bachelor background in the area of the exact sciences, or has reached this level through training or experience.
- Advanced level of ENGLISH is mandatory, ITALIAN is considered a plus.
