Troubleshoot and repair equipment, machinery and facility problems as they arise
Perform periodic preventive maintenance inspections, procedures, and tasks
Receive and process work requests
Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment
Direct one or more temporary helpers in the completion of their assigned tasks
Operate equipment such as power tool, table saw, drill press, radial arm saw, welder, forklifts
Maintain a safe work environment for all employees. Insuring they have and are using proper work equipment to prevent personal injury to themselves or others working nearby.
Install facility machinery
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery
Write and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
Complete daily maintenance and repair logs
Maintain and secure work tools.
Clean and maintain work area
Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use
Assure maintenance according to planned activities scheduled by corrective and preventive maintenance plan
Respond to service calls from Production
Verify equipment insuring correct functioning, conduct tests and determine root cause of breakdowns and failures
Adjust machinery, verify parts for wear and fix or replace necessary parts
Carry out diverse fabrications and installations for many kinds of improvement/ installation/ repair projects, as needed
Assemble machinery and material, with diverse tools and welding equipment before installing
Clean, grease, oil, inspect and adjust plant production equipment
Plan with superior and/or plant manager appropriate shutdown periods for production equipment maintenance
Insure good order and housekeeping of shop and of maintenance tools
Work with respect of rules and standards of HS legislation or internal procedures
Bring to the attention of immediate superior all problems and situations involving plant conditions
Be on the leading edge of new techniques and work tools in respective field
Continuous training for a better comprehension in own field of expertise and of company activities
Troubleshoot and repair all types of conveyor equipment and their components
Use all types of hand tools and power tools both portable and stationary
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
Ability to communicate with employees from different level (management as well as plant personnel)
Capable of ''troubleshooting'' and to develop plan of action
Social skills
High school diploma
Good knowledge of operating and maintenance instructions
Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical systems and welding
Knowledge of preventive maintenance software
Knowledge of safely and effectively use of volt meters, ammeters, ohm meters
Experience of 3-5 years in a similar position
