Responsible for overall planning & operation of drilling requirements
Your responsibilities:
-Organize a drilling team in Kazakhstan and teach, train, as well as develop junior drilling staff
- Coordinate activities between different drilling fields at the Caspian area and Almaty office
- Direct and supervise the activities of personnel engaged in Company’s Drilling programs
- Advise Drilling Engineers in the preparation of drilling programs that must meet his approval
- Evaluate new drilling equipment and procedures to reduce costs ensuring drilling efficiency. Apply continuous improvement efforts in developing technical/operational practices and procedures
- Prepare drilling budget estimates and forecasts and maintain effective cost control procedures
- Review drilling operations on a daily basis and recommend changes in priorities, utilization of resources, assignments of personnel and budgets
- Supervise and monitor drilling operations HSEQ procedures
- Minimum of 10 years diversified experience in exploratory and production drilling practices (at least 2 years overseas working experience preferably Russia or Kazakhstan)
- Horizontal and/or extended reach drilling experience is an advantage
- Strong personality with skills in leadership, motivation and communication
- High degree of judgment in the planning and execution of drilling program
- Fluent in English (Russian advantageous)
- Computer literate
