Develops programs, policies, procedures and controls regarding employment, and analyzes manpower, turnover and other personnel statistics.
Coordinates wage and salary policies for production personnel. Develops and directs administration of company or divisional wage and salary administration and employee performance appraisal programs.
Conducts research into personnel programs and activities, and recommends changes or innovations where desirable.
Supervises plant employment and placement operations.
Participates in training programs and orientation sessions for new employees.
Represents company in labor-management relations, mainly those of a day-to-day character. This includes participation in grievance procedure and union negotiations.
May also represent the plant in unemployment insurance matters.
5 - 7 years of human resources experience in manufacturing environment.
Ability to handle multiple priorities.
Work with minimum supervision to plan and carry out broad assignments.
Effectively present information to various levels of management.
Fluent in English (verbal and written)
Ability to use the Internet and Microsoft office applications;
