VoIP Network Engineer - Kamailio, Asterisk & Linux

Fast Growing Global Telecoms Company requires a very experienced VoIP engineer who has a variety of skill levels. The candidate must be able to manage and develop globally located Asterisk and Kamailio server network as part of a network support team. This really is a fantastic role for a candidate with an interest in VoIP development and network management experience. You will have to have excellent working experience in Asterisk and Kamailio - development, maintenance, build, deployment and reporting etc.
Core Responsibilities:
• As a VoIP Network engineer, you will be responsible for the technical delivery and maintenance of servers as well as enhancements or developments.
• Supervising a team of Asterisk developers
• Your duties will also include requirement gathering, functional technical designs, as well as programming and testing.
• You and the rest of the team will offer second line assistance to the client support team, and in so doing, resolve client reported issues in a responsive and timely manner.
• Excellent technical communication skills, and a desire to coach mentor and share your experience with junior team members
Essential Skills & Experience
• Demonstrable experience of developing carrier grade solutions (tier 1 robustness,
scalability & resilience)
• Candidate must have good knowledge of setting up SIP and IAX Trunks and Signalling & Media Path manipulation
• Installation and trouble shooting of Asterisk Servers using Centos
• Installation and configuration PRI / E1s and Analogue cards mainly using Digium Cards
• Good knowledge of Asterisk Dial Plans, maintaining and updating current dial plans using extension conference as well as extensiosn.ael
• MySQL knowledge has to be at a very advanced level, stored procedures/triggers, replication and a strong knowledge of AGI Scripting preferably in PHP (AGI-PHP scripts are used for calling stored procedure from MSSQL server)
• Good knowledge of Scripting / Bash scripting
• Expert knowledge in Configuring, Asterisk and Kamailio with MySQL
• Expert level troubleshooting skills in inbound and outbound call flows.
• You will need skills in configuration, installation and integration of various Asterisk applications like dial plans, IVR. Call recording, voicemail etc. and experience troubleshooting one way voice-path, NAT issues, registration, etc.
• Experience in developing Asterisk and Kamailio.
• Extensive experience in working with Linux operating systems.
• Strong understanding of VOIP concepts, SIP protocol, Soft-switching
• 14. Ability to lead the development projects and meet the deadlines
• Real-tome communication protocol experience - SIP, XMPP. RTP -Linux OS experience
• SIP (RFC2833 & SIP INFO)
• Netfilter/iptables
