The Senior Lead Static Equipment Engineer covers Pressure Vessels(Reactor / Column / Drum etc.), TEMA Type Heat Exchangers, Fin-Fan Coolers, Plate Type Heat Exchangers, Filters, Internals (such as trays, etc.), Equipment Platforms.
Major Duties
-The Senior Lead Static Equipment Engineer is to be responsible for the followings;
-Quality Control, Schedule Control and Budget Control of the work undertaken, including for Vendor and Manufacturer
-Control of design information for static equipment engineering exchanged with other disciplines, vendor and client
-Change Control
-Staff Management
-Static Equipment Technical Specifications, Mechanical Data Sheets, etc.
-Mechanical Calculation for Pressure Vessels and TEMA Type Heat Exchangers
-Preparation of Loading Data
-Preparation of Purchase Requisitions
-Analysis/Clarification of Vendor's Technical Quotation
-Vendors' Document Review including design calculation, welding specification, inspection related doc., drawings and other specifications
-Technical Support for Static Equipment Fabrication and Site Erection
-Preparation of Lessons Learnt recorded during the project
Nature and Environment at JGC
- JGC's major business market is in the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of process plants, including offsite and utility facilities, in such fields as oil refining, petrochemicals, chemicals, and gas processing and treating.
In most projects, engineering activities center in the JGC Yokohama World Operations Center, where engineering groups are organized, while JGC also uses its branch offices and subsidiary engineering companies for execution of the project.

-The Senior Lead Static Equipment Engineer shall have the following minimum experience and knowledge:
-Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
-15 years or more of experience in static equipment engineering in the EPC business.
-In addition, at least two assignments as Lead Static Equipment Engineer of EPC projects in the Major Engineering Contractor (such as JGC Corporation).
-The following job experience as Lead Static Equipment Engineer is more preferable ;
- Big Scale Grass-roots Refinery Project : including FCC(RFCC) / CDU / VDU /
DHDS etc,Unit
- Gas to Liquid(GTL) Project
- Grass-roots LNG Project
-Familiar with following International Codes and Standards:
- ASME Section VIII, Div.1 & Div.2
- PD (BS) 5500
- API 660/ISO 16812, API 661/ISO 13706
- ANSI
- TEMA
- IBC (Wind/Earthquake Loading)
- AISC (Wind/Earthquake Loading)
-Good English communication skills
-Knowledge of standard international styles of business communication and experience in the preparation of business and technical documentation
