The DFT and test development engineers deliver test solutions for the company leading edge integrated circuit products (CPU, chipset, embedded controllers). In this role the candidate will develop a deep understanding of the company's chip architectures and digital test methods while working alongside the Design teams to develop functional and structural test patter content and Test programs. In this position, you will be responsibility for test development for CPU's, chipsets and SOC's .
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Responsibilities include working in pre silicon and post silicon phases of the product development cycle to drive the testability and manufacturability of silicon designs. Pre silicon responsibilities cover driving DFx definition into the design to enable more effective post silicon coverage as well as cost effective HVM testability solutions
- Development flows for generating test traces through RTL simulation & pattern validation tools - developing of test content , test program module coding and debug
- Test strategy planning & test hardware requirements definition - Developing test content and programs to meet coverage targets, and Test-time targets
- Develop plans to mitigate the yield risks, drive changes to test methods or design
- Working with the product design teams, new product planning, assembly and test operations
- Development of software tools to automate the process for test content and program generation
The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of Analogue/ Digital Electronics and IC test combined with programming skills. They will be self motivated, capable of accepting responsibility, and show initiative in identifying and solving challenging technical problems.
Qualifications:
- Degree electronic engineering, computer science, physics content or equivalent qualification
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a semiconductor design, validation or test development environment
- Experience with in C/C++/C# , and scripting languages such as Perl, Shell, SQL ..etc.
- Data-extraction and data-analysis skills (JMP, SQL, Statistical analysis)
- Experience with Design-For-Test techniques, functional and DC testing concepts, hardware interface development, test program debug, Silicon characterization techniques and Test Time Reduction
- Experience in test program development and Silicon debug
- Knowledge with Automated Test Equipment in a UNIX* or Windows* environment with C language
- Very good planning and problem solving skills
- Excellent oral and writing communication skills
