Position title/ Job description: Quality Control Manager:
We are currently accepting Expressions of Interest from Mechanical QA/QC Managers (SMP/Welding) with LNG / petrochemicals experience for worldwide locations on multi-million dollar EPC projects.
REPORTS TO: Field Operations Manager
POSITIONS SUPERVISED: Field QA/QC personnel
The Quality Control Manager will be working with project management and design engineers throughout construction steps.
Essential functions and basic duties:
• To ensure that detailed quality related activities are undertaken on the projects, assuring that the product offered by the construction department complies with the contractual requirements of the client and that the company IMS are fully implemented
• Conduct regular walk-downs and inspections of construction projects to audit craft work in progress or completed work for compliance with customer and code requirements
• Ensure that the production quality being offered for inspection meets the clients requirements
• Work with project management and third party inspectors NCR initiation and follow through
• Perform work inspection throughout all construction phases
• Able to write and create WPS, PQRs WPQ for ASME Section IXQualify, maintain, and update welder qualifications along with qualifying PQR's and WPS's
• Lead field investigations for deficiencies/areas of improvement
• Work with Project Manager/Purchasing to order materials and schedule inspections as necessary
• Promote and ensure job site safety, encourage safe work practices and rectify job site hazards immediately

Required knowledge, experience & skills:
• Project QA/QC Managers shall be a University Degree holder or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry or with LNG / petrochemicals experience
• Knowledgeable and skilled in the use of standard mechanical and electrical instruments, and functional gauges
• Have demonstrated knowledge and training in the ISO-9000 Series international standards, or equivalent.
• Be familiar with Quality System standards and be able to exercise judgment against the criteria of the standards.
• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification
• Computer literate, familiar with proprietary administration software.Good interpersonal skills.Good communicator.
• Must be a proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently
• Strong ability to set priorities, solve problems, and be resourceful under pressure
