Primary responsibility for the current opened position is to create web based products and tools. The role also includes maintaining our product range to keep them functional and up to date.
Key Responsibilities
To assist in the planning and specification phases of projects;
Create well structured and commented code;
Use source control (Subversion, Git);
Work closely with clients and other members of the team to ensure specifications and expectations are met;
Deliver projects within agreed timescales that meet the specifications;
Where required to document the development work on each project;
Maintain products in the light of client requests, support issues and changes in technology;
Update bug tracking or project management systems, including reporting on hours spent on each task / project;
Report progress and issues to the Customer Relationship Manager;
Keep up to date with current web technologies;
Adopting best practice with regard to web technologies (e.g. usability, security etc.);
Constantly strive to improve company performance and processes;
Contribute to a positive view of SDP’s technical competence.
Required Skills:
University degree in a relevant field (i.e. Computer Science);
Good written and spoken English;
Experience as Web developer
Wordpress;
Good knowledge of OOP;
PHP programming experience;
Good XHTML, CSS skills;
Good SQL skills;
ASP.NET knowledge is a plus;
Good communication skills;
Very good attention to details;
Ability to work in teams or alone;
Desirable Skills
Design and analysis experience;
Java Script knowledge;
Webpage design skills;
Experience with Content Management and Blog Frameworks.
