RESPONSABILITATI

To provide appropriate legal advice to the newly established and fast growing ACS European Services Organisation supporting in particular the full requirements of the business lines: HR Services, Information Technology Organisation, Business Process Services, Financial Services and Document Management Services, including regulatory compliance. Significant level of exposure, impact on business continuity, time to revenue and cost of non-compliance if the role(s) did not exist.

Principal Accountabilities
Provide legal advice to ACS European Services on multi-country contracting, engaging local legal counsel where appropriate.
Produce wide range of legal documents (including standard and customised Services and BPO contracts, & supplier agreements, participation & framework agreements).
Support or lead contract negotiations with Client legal teams, in order to facilitate the conduct of business and protect Xerox’s and ACS’s interests.
Perform legal analysis and deliver practical solutions to maximise returns to Xerox and ACS and/or avoid adverse legal consequences.
Research and analyse pan-European issues relevant to BPO and Outsourcing matters, utilising the XE legal operations network.
Provide legal advice on specific areas of law, including competition & data privacy to ensure compliance and avoid sanctions and bad publicity.
Manage and implement regulatory compliance programmes within the Services business to ensure that Xerox and ACS operates within the law at all times and avoids potential sanctions.
Advise senior management on legal considerations to be taken into account in developing business strategy.
Present future potential legal / risk issues to senior management of Xerox, ACS and its business units.


CERINTE

Background, Experience & Achievements
Lawyer with minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience (ie, following vocational post-graduate course and prescribed training period – usually 2 years) in private practice or in-house. Working experience will be a minimum of 7+ years.
Significant experience in areas of outsourcing and specifically BPO (will be an advantage) , competition, employment law (especially in respect of the Acquired Rights Directive) and intellectual property.
Significant experience of commercial contracting & client negotiation

Education
Degree level
Legalpractice course and training period.

Commercial & Technical Knowledge
Strong emphasis on contract and commercial law principles.
Experience of transfer of undertakings and inherited liabilities through outsourcing would be a strong advantage.
