analyze business needs and technical requirements independently, developing intelligent and logical solutions;
participate in product releases through requirement reviews, development, deployment, environment set up, document release notes and technical specifications;
ensure the quality of development, by reviewing test plans with Quality Assurance and driving code reviews within the development team;
develop strong expertise in one or more modules with the product line;
effectively communicate status reports, metrics, issues and escalations on a regular basis;
provide mentoring to junior engineers and serve as a subject-matter-expert.
Bachelors degree in Engineering from accredited school, Masters Degree preferred.
requires 4 years quality assurance experience utilizing J2EE (including Core Java, JSP/Servlet, JDBC, Struts, Spring, iBatis/Hibernate, WebServices, Design Patterns, XML technologies, UML) and Oracle (including SQL, Oracle functions, transactions, locks and triggers);
working knowledge of Application/Web Servers (including Apache/JBoss/Tomcat/WebLogic);
working knowledge of Linux/Solaris environment;
working knowledge of the residential mortgage industry would be a plus;
effectively prioritize and execute tasks;
possess strong problem solving capabilities;
prior product development experience is a plus;
Exposure to performance tuning, resolution of production issues;
exposure to unit testing/UI automation will be a plus;
excellent verbal and written communication skills required;
must be highly motivated, a “Go-Getter” who requires very little direction
