Liaising with other members of the team – locally and remotely - on jobs to go to print
Liaising confidently with both internal and external contacts
Prioritising and booking in work
Advising others on the most cost-effective and suitable production processes
Ensuring that cutter guides, trapping, and separations of files are all set to the correct specifications
Answering queries from GDC, clients and either handling these or (where appropriate) passing over to a Senior
Creating mock-ups and visuals for clients and printers
Advising Senior/Supervisor of developments and problems as they arise
Ensuring Senior/Supervisor are fully informed at all stages of the project, especially where a deadline is likely to be missed
Ensuring all jobs are proof-read and checked thoroughly
Being conversant with the admin processes of the department.
Being aware of budgets and deadlines for jobs, and notifying the team leader if there is a danger of going over estimate
Working consistently and creatively within Xerox and their Customers’ Corporate Branding guidelines
Ensuring all quality control policies are adhered to, while constantly looking to improve and implement these.
They will be expected:¨
To have good working-knowledge of the pre-press procedures
To have a full understanding of printing processes¨
To have a good eye for detail

To be proficient in producing artwork and typesetting¨
To be able to work on own initiative.
To be able to work under pressure and to deadlines
To advise the client on the best solutions to their visual communication needs
