- Overseeing month end close to ensure that financial statements are in compliance with both local and US GAAP ;
- Managing and developing a staff of Controllers and Accounting Managers;
- Advising finance and operations teams on US GAAP compliance;
- Assisting sales and operations with new business pursuits, including contract reviews;
- Ensuring contract language is accounted accurately ;
- Supporting sales and operations teams with acquisition targets;
- Completing special projects as assigned;
- Setting up accounting arrangements for all new deals signed;
- SOX and UK SAO sign off;
- Key liaison contact for non European colleagues including US Corporate team.
We are looking for a Senior Controller to join our team in Iasi. The role holder will cooperate with a Xerox corporate business unit which operates in the outsourcing services industry and manage a staff of Controllers. Our future colleague will work alongside the Finance, Operations and Sales teams to provide a cohesive unit that assists in meeting the demands of a successful business and ensure that the Financial Statements are properly presented.
- Bachelors degree in accounting and CPA certification or country equivalent, MBA a plus,
- 5 plus years of progressive experience, with demonstrated management skills.
- Knowledge of accounting practices and policies.
- 5+ years accounting experience including audit experience,
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS,
- Experience with equity accounting, intercompany eliminations and consolidations,
- Experience with JDE EnterpriseOne and Hyperion Essbase preferred
- Experience of working with US headquartered global corporation would be a key advantage
At this level, one must possess the following skills:
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in analysis of financial statement results
- Ability to clearly and concisely explain accounting concepts and provide instruction to all levels within the Xerox organization
- Strong hands-on project management of both own tasks and follow up on tasks of others
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, highly active, and frequently changing, Fortune 500 publicly-traded company
