The role

We are looking for a Development Lead to join our team. The candidate will be a self starter, driven, independent thinker with commitment to quality and continuous improvement and results orientated.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work off own initiative and take the lead role on development projects and oversee/mentor others when leading projects
• Work collaboratively with local and global resources to ensure project requirements are met, are delivered on time and on budget
• Development and change management of existing in-house developed systems and other systems that we bring in-house
• Analysis and resolution of business systems issues and bug fixing
• Design and development of new systems in line with business needs
• Analysis of user requirements and compilation of requirements & technical design documents where required
• Function as an integral part of a strong global development team with prime responsibility for UK business systems
• To peer review and ensure own work is peer reviewed as appropriate
• To ensure timesheets are completed in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate time recording and charging to clients where applicable
• Stay abreast with applicable regulatory bodies
• Adhere to Corporate Policies and Procedures (CCPs)
• Report any suspected breaches to management/compliance department upon discovery
• Act as a role model and mentor all members of the development team
• Keep skills and knowledge up to date as technology advances
• Project co-ordination of the development of existing in-house developed systems and other systems that we bring in-house
• Assist the UK Development Manager in satisfying the business requirements across the whole portfolio whenever required
• Local management and mentoring of development resources, both people and technology


CERINTE

Critical Technical & Behavioral Skills/Qualifications:

• Solid software development experience using; SQL Server 2005 and above, C#.NET desktop applications, ASP.NET web applications
• Not required but beneficial to have some previous experience of: Interbase, Delphi, Crystal Reports, Visual Basic 6, VB.NET, ASP.NET MVC4
• Strong business analysis skills and experience
• Wide ranging technical knowledge
• Strong solution architecting experience
• Some project management and project co-ordination experience
• An all-round communicator in English at a business and technical level
• Able to prioritise, organise and carry out tasks within deadlines
• Good numeracy and literacy skills
• Proactive team player with leadership qualities
• Attention to detail both when writing documentation and code
• Ability to deal with users directly on layman’s terms
• Analytical and methodical in their approach
