Pre-silicon verification of AMD's next generation server and mainstream-client microprocessor design implementations, including:
-Develop and execute functional test plans;
-Develop verification components (checkers, stimulus & irritation, simulation infrastructure and coverage terms) used to verify correctness of hardware designs;
-Develop and apply directed & pseudo-random stimulus to appropriately exercise the design being verified;
-Debug failing tests to root cause and work closely with design engineers to incorporate and verify fixes;
-Contribute to the continuous improvement of verification environment and methodology.
-Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering with 3+ years of verification experience (Masters preferred);
-Software development proficiency required in Verilog, Perl, and at least one of the following: C++; SystemVerilog; Vera; Specman-E. (SystemVerilog and C++ preferred);
-Experience required in development and execution of pre-silicon test plans and in development of verification environment components and infrastructure;
-Strong communication skills and fluency in verbal and written English required;
-Experience with industry standard verification tools required (VCS simulator and Verdi debug system preferred);
-Knowledge and verification-experience with JTAG and DFT/DFD/DFY logic features preferred (not required);
-Knowledge and verification-experience with x86 architecture/assembly helpful (not required).
