Purpose of the job:
The Energy Management & Reporting (EM&R) department provides customer support for setting and tracking energy budget as well as for managing the bill validation cycle clients.
To support the planned rollout of bill validation services to the International Client portfolio, and to other EU based existing clients, we now need to appoint a Data Collector who can be focused and organised around the task. The role will be to collect primary data on a monthly basis which will include:-
Consumption data, where applicable;
Customer reads, where applicable;
Copy utility invoices directly from electricity, gas and water suppliers.
This data is to be collected in an accurate and timely manner to support our business processes.
Where possible to identify ways to render processes more efficient and provide sufficient exception reporting to check the completeness and quality of the data. The Data Collector will be required to take responsibility for these processes and to gain internal agreement on any agreed improvements and then implement and document the changes.
The position is 100% located in the Iasi office.
Key responsibilities:
Invoice Collection: To proactively collect and archive in a timely manner the customers’ utility invoice directly from electricity, gas and water suppliers’ websites as well as directly from email, faxes, mails;
Consumption Data Collection: To request and collect half hourly interval data from the relevant provider on a regular basis. The interval data to be processed and loaded into the required system in an accurate and timely manner to support company business processes.
Fetching Data from the Web: Some of the data, such as prices, will need to be fetched from specific websites that publish those values.
Archiving: Information will be uploaded into the internal database, paper based documents will be scanned, and electronic versions archived.
Keeping key managers up to date: Updating on an automatic and regular basis key managers on data collection progress with supporting KPI’s
Process Mapping: Identifying areas of improvements in the established processes, involving key managers.
Writing Data Collection Manual: The production of a manual for guidance that will be published and all aspects of the job being undertaken by each individual and the systems they will use.
Plus all other duties as assigned appropriate to the development of the role and the individual.
Person specification:
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in English and German/Italian
Organised, self motivated and able to work independently
Establishes effective and long standing business relationships
Ability to grasp technical concepts
High integrity and instils confidence with clients and colleagues
Demonstrates a capacity to conceptualise and understand the big picture, with an emphasis on detail
A passion for working in the energy and environmental sector.
A good team player who is a self starter, who likes to get the job done properly first time.
Highly numerate with a critical eye for detail and experienced at multi-tasking.
Familiar with operating IT software and a working knowledge of Microsoft products
