The role: Business Intelligence Developer

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Works closely with Xerox LEO management and Xerox end-users to create and evaluate business requirements to support delivery of effective business intelligence and reporting solutions.
• Creates technical designs and functional specifications for back-end and front-end information systems.
• Uses Microsoft BI suite to perform the following:
- develops and tests database scripts, stored procedures, triggers, functions,
- SSIS Packages, and other back-end processes to support system integration and ETL to facilitate the creation and population of the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
• Assists in the design and data modelling efforts of Data Marts and Data Warehouse.
• Uses Microsoft BI suite/SSRS to design and develop web-based reports and/or dashboards.
• Designs, develops and deploys front-end systems to support reporting, data warehouse and integration with enterprise applications.
• Implements user access controls and data security measures where appropriate.
• Creates and maintains documentation of processes, reports, applications, and procedures as per department policy.
• Supports interfaces with users and third party vendors.
• Supports the design, planning, implementation, administration and maintenance of the business intelligence platform.
• Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
• Knowledge of Sales Management Processes and SalesForce Platform including design, installation, system modifications, trouble shooting, and day-to-day support.
• Advanced knowledge of enterprise solutions using
- Microsoft SQL 2012+,
- Microsoft Reporting Services,
- Microsoft Analysis Services,
- Tableau,
- SalesForce
- Microsoft SharePoint Enterprise Edition with Excel Services (and/or PerformancePoint)
• knowledge of relational databases and dimensional modelling.
• knowledge of database development as well as enterprise ETL applications such as Microsoft SSIS.
• Knowledge of ASP.NET, MS Visio, MS Project and related industry standard software tools.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft SQL including T-SQL programming and scripting.
• Basic knowledge of Software Development Lifecycles e.g. Agile / Scrum.
• Basic Knowledge of change Management & deployment methodologies.
• Basic understanding of external data sources such as D&B, Hoovers, Marketo, et al.
• Advanced skills in personal computer operation; Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Intermediate math skills; calculate interest and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio and percent, including the drafting and interpretation of bar graphs.
• Ability to make decisions that have significant impact on the immediate work unit and cross functional departments.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules on a short-term and long-term basis.
• Ability to provide consultation and expert advice to management.
• Ability to make informal and formal presentations, inside and outside the organization; speaking before assigned team or other groups as needed.
• Ability to deal with complex difficult problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.
• Ability to work with little to no supervision while performing duties.
