Primary Responsibilities
To create web based products and tools. The role also includes maintaining our product range to keep them functional and up to date.
Key Responsibilities
• To assist in the planning and specification phases of projects
• Create well structured and commented code
• Use source control (git / subversion)
• Deliver projects within agreed timescales that meet the specifications
• Where required to document the development work on each project
• Work closely with other members of the team to ensure specifications and expectations are met
• Maintain products in the light of client requests, support issues and changes in technology
• Update bug tracking or project management systems, including reporting on hours spent on each task / project.
• Report progress and issues to the Project Manager
• Keep up to date with current web technologies
• Adopting best practice with regard to web technologies (e.g. usability, security etc.)
• Constantly strive to improve company performance and processes
• Carry out other tasks requested by Management where these are agreed to be reasonable and achievable
• Contribute to a positive view of SDP’s technical competence
Key Performance Indicators
• Projects delivered on time and to client satisfaction
• Projects must adhere to internal and external standards
• Ensure where required, work is documented correctly
• Ensure that all technical issues are resolved in accordance with internal or external SLAs
• Follow testing and quality assurance procedures
Required Skills
• Good written and spoken English
• Ability to work in teams or alone
• Good knowledge of ASP.NET 2.0, ASP.NET 3.5
• Good knowledge of XHTML, CSS.
• Good knowledge JavaScript, jQuery.
• Knowledge of current Web technologies is a plus.
