Primary responsibility for current open position is to create, web based products and windows applications/services. The role also includes maintaining our product range to keep them functional and up to date.
Responsibilities
To assist in the planning and specification phases of projects
Create well structured and commented code;
Use source control (sub version);
Deliver projects within agreed timescales that meet the specifications;
Where required to document the development work on each project;
Work closely with clients and other members of the team to ensure specifications and expectations are met;
Maintain products in the light of client requests, support issues and changes in technology;
Update bug tracking or project management systems, including reporting on hours spent on each task / project;
Report progress and issues to the Customer Relationship Manager or .NET Development Manager;
Keep up to date with current web technologies;
Adopting best practice with regard to web technologies (e.g. usability, security etc.);
Constantly strive to improve company performance and processes;
Carry out other tasks requested by Management where these are agreed to be reasonable and achievable;
Contribute to a positive view of SDP’s technical competence.
Required Skills
Degree in Computer Science or related discipline;
Good written and spoken English;
Ability to work in teams or alone;
ASP.NET 2.0, ASP.NET 3.5;
Good knowledge of OOP;
C# programming knowledge;
Good SQL skills, MSSQL.
Desirable Skills
Component oriented programming;
Design patterns knowledge;
HTML, XML, Javascript.
