To expand the server landscape and keep up with the constant rise in traffic, a leading internet company is looking for a skilled System Administrator
Responsibilities
• Ensure and improve system uptime and response time and scaling
• Work our changes to the infrastructure required by new features and products
• Maintain and improve the monitoring systems
• Optimize the in-house network
• Degree in computer science or certificate as network engineer
• At least 1+ years of professional experience in operating web applications
• Professional experience with Linux and solid knowledge of at least one scripting language such as PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby etc.
• Ideally good knowledge of monitoring tools (Nagios/Icinga, Munin and other tools) and IPv4 networking (iptables, Traffic Shaping, OpenVPN)
• Strong problem solving skills
• Detail oriented
• Proficient in English
• Flat hierarchies
• Casual work environment
• Support in relocating from outside of Berlin
