Position: Database Administrator



Basic Job Functions:

Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity
of the databases. Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance
codes; resolves database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data
issues. Designs multi-plant data structure, data warehouse for the corporation.

Experience:

. Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and related tools.
. A minimum of 5 - 7 years as a Microsoft SQL Database Administrator
. Minimum 3 years of work experience as with SQL Server 2005
. SQL Server 2005 replication configuration, creation & maintenance
. Experience in a 24/7/365 manufacturing environment.
. Should have experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)
. Should have experience with SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services)
. Should have experience with SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)
. Expertise in database performance tuning, data backup/recovery, archiving, data modeling and security
techniques.
. Should have experience with Microsoft Management Studio, other relational and/or multi dimensional
database packages and related tools, experience developing and implementing distributed databases,
enterprise data models, data warehouse and/or data dictionaries and experience in OLAP/Multi-dimensional
Technologies and other SQL/RDBMS technology and techniques.
. Experience of MS Access

Education:

. 4 year degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.

Required Skills:

Technical:

. Solid skills in database performance factors, monitoring tools and tuning procedures
. Solid skills with Transac SQL, query writing
. Solid skills with debugging stored procedures and triggers
. Strong Database Management skills, including backup and recovery procedures



. Solid skills in productivity factors and ability to understand impact of problem on overall database
performance
. Knowledge of fault detection and resolution processes
. Strong skills in maintenance tools and procedures
. Solid skills with one or more programming language and design technique.
. Ability to define physical and logical data structures.
. Ability to work with Of the Shelf Software such as Microsoft Dynamics, CRM or MRO and PeopleSoft.

Physical:

. Will sit and stand periodically during the day.
. Required to lift up to 50 lbs.
. Will walk and climb stairs.
. Will reach over shoulder heights and below waist.
. Required to use hands to lift, handle, carry or feel.
. May be required to kneel, bend, talk and hear.
. Specific vision abilities are required.

. Recoverability - Creating and testing Backups
. Integrity - Verifying or helping to verify data integrity
. Security - Defining and/or implementing access controls to the data
. Availability - Ensuring maximum uptime
. Performance - Ensuring maximum performance given budgetary constraints
. Development and testing support - Helping programmers and engineers to efficiently utilize the database.
. Migrating from legacy
. Production database uptime
. Archiving
. Data modeling
. Database Mirroring and Replication.
. Working Experience on MS Cluster.
