- Delivers safe and competent nursing care using the nursing process and practises within establishment policies and procedures.
- Establishes priorities of care , nursing actions and desired outcomes within an acceptable time frame.
- Collects, documents, interprets and evaluates data according to the patients clinical needs and the doctor's orders, uses the nursing care plan and NSH documentation policy.
- Understands and demonstrates accountability for one s actions. Adheres to the mission of NSH and the Departament of Nursing.
- Seeks advice/assistance using the correct channels of communication when unsure of appropriate action.
- Demonstrates good communications skills.Interacts efficiently with all members of the multi-disciplinary team, patients, relatives and visitors.
- Participants with medical staff and allied health professionals to facilitate and co-ordinate patient care.
- Participants in planned medical interventions with the medical staff by preparing, assisting and providing nursing care to patients undergoing diacnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Documents all nursing activities in the patient s nursing record according to the NSH documentations policy.
- Performs all duties in a proffessional and confidential manner.
- Manages medication as prescribed on the Inpatient Prescription Chart safely and correctly, documenting it according to the established policy and procedure.
- Practices universal precautions, environmental precutions, isolations tehniques, wound management, and all invasive procedures according to Infection Control policies and procedures.
- Complies with the Nursing Code of Ethics.
- Participates in various quality improvement activities when assigned.
- Acknowledges any limitations in his/her knowledge and competence and declines any duties or responsabilities unless able to perform them in a saif and skilled manner.
- Participates in updating and maintaining basic life support and advanced cardiac life support skills an an annual basis. Attends all mandatory in-service education programmes.
- Performs speciallised procedures only when certified competent.
- Accommodation, meals, local transport and medical assurance. The salary will be 1000 Euro/month
