This is an opportunity to work with state-of-the-art moulding technology in a strategically important role in one of the world's best toy brands.
As Mould Mature, you will use your specialist skills to make recommendations for design for manufacturing and help LEGO® Designers find the perfect shape for their ideas, so they can be manufactured in standardised moulds.
As such, you:
- Transfer your expertise between design and engineering in development projects where you recommend technical solutions and make sure that LEGO® Elements live up to the standards in the LEGO Moulding setup
- Share and recommend specialist knowledge related to the technical moulding setup to key stakeholders such as Creative Designers, Parts Designers, Mould Constructors and Manufacturers
- Stay up to date on the newest technical knowledge by either constructing in CAD or by mould manufacturing through CAM programming in the tool shop
- Work actively with LEAN as the LEGO Group continuously strives to improve processes, tools, concepts and the production platforms
Bringing it to life
In this role, you are a consultant in terms of making design for manufacturing, which is an essential role in the LEGO manufacturing setup. You provide solutions, explain the requirements and opportunities. So here it is crucial that you can bring your strong specialist
knowledge and communication skills into play.
You will be challenged on your ability to communicate and work with innovative elements in a standardised production setup.
To do so successfully, you must:
- Be an exceptionally skilled Mould Maker, Mould Constructor, Mould Technician, Engineer or Industrial Technician
- Have at least 3 years of experience within manufacturing or construction of injection moulds and have knowledge or experience with tool making (CAM and Assembling) or construction (3D CAD system)
- Have strong communication skills and a "we succeed together" mind-set
- Want to go from a specialist position to a more end-to-end generalist approach
- Look to constantly improve or create processes that ensure we are constantly getting better
