- To provide expert technical engineering advice and backup;
- To assist in implementing, maintaining and improving automated manufacturing equipment;
- To innovate solutions to new and existing problems, designing and programming various automation systems;
- Contributing as a team member to the design of components for a specific project;
- Assess manufacturing requirements for a new project by liaising with all relevant personnel;
- Engineer solutions to problems with new equipment, components and component assemblies;
- Assist the Engineering Manager in developing new systems and procedures;
- Improving the current automation systems and their effects on the manufacturing processes by design, programming or supervision of physical improvements;
- Develop and implement maintenance programs for process equipment;
- Ensure Lean principles are introduced, avoiding non value added activities;
- Manage P-FMEA;
- VSM knowledge.
- Engineer background;
- Computer literacy essential;
- Experience in a similar position working with an automated plant and a manufacturing environment.
