Reporting to: Production Manager.
Overal scope:
- Responsible for supervising IMM Technicians.
- Provide operational support and process. improvement to a high volume injection moulding manufacturing facility.
Tasks:
- Optimisation of machine cycle times, improve product yield and identify technical / engineering improvements.
- Identifying potential tool change improvements.
- Set up moulding processes to agreed operation settings.
- Identifying and correcting process problems.
- Identifying and implementing continuous improvement.
- Flexible working hours may be required depending on company activity.
- Regular dayshift but this position will be required to work any shift pattern as required to cover team absences.
- Comfortable working in a pressured environment.
- Standards worked to – HSE, TS16949, BOS.
- Experience in working in a high volume, complex manufacturing environment.
- Managing and allocating budgets.
- Willingness to respond to out of hours concerns.
- Knowledge of ‘JIT’ sequence supply.
- Excellent communication, people and organisational skills.
- IMM/LPE process knowledge.
- Self motivated.
- Ability to work independently.
- Effective team player, able to motivate team members.
- Works well under pressure.
- Flexible.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines.
