About the Position:
In this role, the employee will be able to serve as the QA Automation Specialist essentially setting the strategy for testing across all products for a complex project in the are of web technologies. The candidate will support the project lead and QA team lead in this area, serving as a resource for establishing a high standard of quality, and providing credibility with customers, both internal and external. You will keep up with and contributes to the latest ideas in the area of software testing. You will lead scripting and test automation efforts to accelerate and improve overall QA.

Responsibilities
• Expected to research and develop tools with the goal of increasing automation development quality and productivity
• Responsible for ensuring that defined architectural and development standards are followed by all members of the automation team
• Proficient at decomposing requirements and developing test automation for projects of simple to high complexity
• Practices automation development efficiency, maintainability and reusability
• Assist in managing and improving the coding standards
• Develops scripts according to the coding standards
• Provides accurate implementation level estimates and delivers on them
• Comprehends and contributes to high level requirements and designs
• Understands software quality best practices, test strategy and planning, test case development, test case deployment and execution, test data, defect tracking, and test automation; actively participates in process improvements
• Recognizes issues (e.g. with requirements, design, implementation, etc.) and works with appropriate resources to address and resolve
• Seeks and understand big picture/business cases behind individual requirements
• Mentors and trains other automation staff
• Architect automation test plans
• Root cause analysis of software and hardware related issues
• Work with development engineers to drive to closure on problems found, including recreating failures and verifying fixes
• Configure hardware systems for test execution


CERINTE

FLEXIBLE, DECENT, INTELLIGENT, WORKING PERSON WHO CAN FIND MOTIVATION IN WHAT HE/SHE DOES
• About 3 to 4 years of experience of enterprise level QA automation or Software Development
• Experience working with Selenium based automation frameworks or similar (QTP for example)
• Strong background in coding for automation, without reliance on record and playback scripting
• Strong understanding of Linux and Windows
• Good understanding of web technologies, such as HTML/CSS/JavaScript/XML/HTTP Protocol.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic and team oriented environment.
• Experience in building test framework
• Experience working with offshore teams
• Experience developing and scripting from test specifications
• Experience developing function libraries and product independent scripts
• Experience in developing test tools to improve productivity of test script development and execution
• Experience in any of scripting languages, such as Perl, Python, JavaScript, Windows and Unix shell scripting,
• Strong knowledge of automated testing tools, techniques and methodologies
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skill set with a self-starting attitude, team-player, and flexibility. A fast learner (new system and test equipment applications) and high degree of creativity and initiative is expected
• Familiarity with issue tracking, testing techniques
• The ideal candidate will have an interest in improving software reliability and quality through automation and consistent automation processes
• Experience qualifying enterprise class hardware/software solutions, such as datacenter appliances
• Experience with servers, networking devices and/or storage devices
• Deep understanding of software development processes
• Some structured programming knowledge in Java, C# or C++
• Solid problem solving skills
• Experience in one or more scripting languages
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related Engineering field.
