Responsibilities:
- Produces components of detailed designs, such as: physical data flows, class diagrams, file layouts, common routines and utilities, program specifications or prototypes, and backup, recovery and restart procedures.
- Documents all work using required standards, methods and tools, including prototyping tools where appropriate.
- Assists as part of a team on design of components of larger systems.
- Acquiring a proper understanding of a problem or situation by breaking it down systematically into its component parts and identifying the relationships between these parts, selecting the appropriate method/tool to resolve the problem and reflecting on the result, such that learning is identified and absorbed.
- Designs, codes, tests, corrects and documents moderately complex programs and program modifications from supplied specifications, using agreed standards and tools.
- Conducts reviews of supplied specifications, with others as appropriate.
- Takes part in reviews of the work of colleagues.
- Familiar with methods and techniques for making effective use of own time.
- Works under general supervision.
- Uses discretion in identifying and resolving complex problems and assignments.
- Specific instruction is usually given and work is reviewed at frequent milestones.
- Determines when problems should be escalated to a higher level.
- Will be a key contributor during sprint planning for system design and requirements clarification.
- Will support the Scrum Master in understanding project dependencies and constraints
- Will help contribute to quality by producing robust unit tests and working closely with testers
- Will need a range of technical capability across the Microsoft stack.
- Excellent knowledge of VB6
- Good knowledge of .Net 4.0/ C# development
- Ability to commit to projects
- Motivated and dependable, has initiative, understands responsibility, team player, proactive.
- Very good written and spoken English communication skills.
