! PLEASE NOTE: This will be a REAL job with real and official work contract according to Romanian laws. It will not be a collaboration based job much like the ones other local "translation companies" offer.
What we look for: Translators and managers in major international languages (Dutch, German, French, Italian, Spanish, etc.). You can definitely apply even if your language was not mentioned in this post.
What you will do:
You will be responsible of executing clients’ translation projects, including their scheduling, tracking, team building and assignment as well as evaluation and delivery. You will have to act as the leader and supervisor of various handpicked translation teams and translators. You will have to be able to determine which translators are most suited for each individual project and based on this create the most appropriate translation team for each project. You will have to be comfortable and confident with talking to potential clients both in Dutch/German/etc. and English (written and oral), explaining and promoting to them the translation and translation technology solutions offered by the Company.
You would be joining us in our newly opened office in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
Your responsibilities:
- Responding to Dutch/German/etc. (depending on your language expertise) and English clients’ inquiries both on email and on the phone
- Evaluating the files and documents received from clients and determining a price quote as well as delivery date
- Closely cooperating with clients in order to understand their specific needs, goals as well as requirements of their projects
- Assigning the most suitable team of translators depending on project difficulty, subject matter and required delivery date
- Acting as the leader and coordinator of the selected translation team, supervising and tracking projects’ progress
- Aiding translators in achieving the best quality translations by researching the specific terminology as well as the subject matter of translation projects in order to establish case specific guidelines and requirements
- Evaluating finished translations with the aim of ensuring maximum quality
- Delivering final translations to clients
- Executing translations
Qualifications:
- Expert level in target language (Dutch, German, etc.) - oral and written
- Expert level English - oral and written
- Obsessed with providing highest quality and industry leading deliverables
- Bachelors Degree in Project Management and/or any of the following: Language Studies, Translation & Interpretation Studies, Humanities, Communication & Marketing, Sales /or similar experience
- Excellent leadership & communication skills, people management aptitude
- Advanced computer knowledge.
- Bonus! Previous professional translation experience
- Bonus! Knowledge of other language besides the ones mentioned here
- Bonus! Ability to understand computer languages and basic code such as HTML
