Managing 3rd/4th line technical support teams across multiple international sites
Maintaining change control processes and standards with highly technical infrastructure support
Chairing Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings
Resource demand forecasting and reporting – including working with bid teams and client facing colleagues
Recruitment of technical staff
Team performance measurement and management
Improving business-level thinking, problem anticipation and risk assessment in highly technical staff
Development and training strategy management
Liaison with other managers, team leaders and customer-facing staff
Encouraging adoption of standard processes with other teams within the Group


Be highly capable, with an analytical, diplomatic and collaborative management style
Be able to maintain business focus with teams of highly-technical staff
Have a good understanding of commercial and operational best practices
Possess a strong appreciation of risk mitigation and ITIL change control
Be comfortable expanding ideas into strategies, presentations and documents
Know how to motivate and retain highly technical staff
Be capable of separating technical priorities which affect service uptime from nice-to-haves
Know which technical staff concerns are relevant from a commercial perspective
Be prepared to rapidly grow the teams (recruiting in conjunction with UK technical management
Promote a culture of using written, standardised processes rather than “leading from the front”
Desirable skills:
Previous experience in managing virtual teams in different geographies
Previous experience in an IT Services company
Familiar with analysis and IT Service Management tools
