- 2+ years working as an SEO Manager, or SEO specialist, or similar role in which the primary responsibility was organic search. SEO work in a CPA, affiliate, or hyper-competitive vertical a definite plus.
- Demonstrated experience in driving relevant search engine traffic
- Demonstrated experience in link acquisition- In-depth understanding of the search engine ranking algorithms across multiple engines and how to leverage them,
- Ability to discern between different types of SEO practices
- Deep understanding of Google Analytics, Google Adwords,Google Webmaster Tool, keyword tools, reporting tools, and a range of popular SEO tools.
- Very good command of the English language, French language is a plus.
- Skills in HTML and CSS a plus
- Good project management, organizational and time management skills
- Develop and implement strategic plans for certain clients
- Implement any necessary third party technology necessary to achieve organic search objectives
- Work with development teams to improve site architecture and oversee implementation of plans
- Develops on-site audits and suggests changes according to SEO best practices
- Defines content development, syndication, and link-building strategies
- Conducts keyword research and proposes implementations accordingly
- Formulates link acquisition plans and implements them
- Translates data from web analytics into an actionable plan
- Is always up-to-date with the latest changes in search engine algorithms
- Have a firm understanding of on page SEO, off-page SEO and technical SEO.
- Collaborates with the other members of the Development & Marketing team and understands how all the other Marketing channels work
- Create dramatic ROI and customer acquisition from natural search.
- Monitor results monthly, working with project manager to continually refine and adjust approach, communicating changes to executive team.
