Offering 3rd line support — Investigating and fixing problems escalated from 2nd line support
Debugging and fixing problems with wide-area and local-area business networks
Overnight on-call support
Discussing problem resolution with client and internal managers
Analysing and making changes to infrastructure to improve performance
Ensuring the correct set-up of monitoring systems
Maintaining and improving support information and documentation
Mentoring junior technical staff
Occasional involvement in installation projects (including travel to other countries)
What skills are we looking for?
We are looking for intelligent people, who have previously worked in technical roles within an IT-focussed company, with multiple offices and a business-critical international network infrastructure.
We are looking for people with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role though are willing to make exceptions for exceptionally technical people.
Mandatory skills:
The successful candidate will already be in a role where they locate and then resolve deep technical problems, in as many as possible of the following technologies:
Cisco IOS LAN switches
IOS routers and PIX or ASA firewalls
LAN and WAN IP networks
IPSEC VPN basics
Linux administration
Network security
Network design principles
Training and development within Endava University
