- Seeking an experienced DBA to work with our US counterparts, to build out and support our growing RDBMS installation in multiple datacenters.
- Currently MySQL 4 is deployed on 20+ Linux servers, and is expected to grow rapidly in the coming months.
- Seeking a high level of experience (5 years or more) with:
- MySQL Versions 4 and 5 (installation, administration, troubleshooting)
Open Source Database Architecture: -Clustering, Replication, Failover (MySQL5 cluster suite, master/slave replication, load balancing)
- Performance tuning database servers (file systems, kernel parameters, hardware compatibility)
- Schema and Query Optimization
- Backup Procedures and Database Recovery
- Database Security
- Change Control and Database Deployment Techniques
- Linux/UNIX operating systems
- PostgreSQL Administration and Performance Tuning
