Job scope:
Responsible for the supervision, the analysis and the optimization of direct distribution of Danone Romania products to its clients, in order to best meet the activity KPI’s in the allocated area.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Schedules and coordinates the distribution operations within assigned area optimizing transportation schedules and routes;
- Coordinates and motivates the distribution team;
- Permanently assesses the KPI’s in order to conceive and implement appropriate action plans to ensure that they are constantly met (ex: delivered volume/truck/day, cost per Km);
- Permanently assesses the distribution activity and relevant available data in order to optimize costs and improve efficiency within assigned distribution area;
- Initiates and draws up proposals for developing the distribution capacities so as to meet developing business needs;
- Assures that his team delivers quality services and displays a professional behavior in order to convey a good and proper image of Danone to the clients:
o Periodical visits in the supervised platforms, in order to maintain a close relationship with the coordinated team and to insure a proper follow of the internal procedures;
- Responsible for the distribution fleet (vans & trucks) administration – balancing the operations needs with the fleet capacity and usage in order to control costs (maintenance costs, cleaning etc.):
o Periodical visits in the supervised platforms, in order to verify vans & trucks technical condition;
- Ensures the permanent compliance with the cold chain rules;
- Assures support and feed-back for any issues occurring during deliveries performed by partner carriers in allocated area.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified (transport, logistics), preferably in FMCG companies.
- Already held (or currently holds) a team supervision position;
- Technical acumen;
- University degree (technical or economic);
- Medium - highly computer literate (MS Office – especially MS Excel);
- English – medium level (written and spoken);
- Able to coordinate a large team;
- Superior communication skills at all levels;
- Good numerical skills for financial management;
- Strong organizational & analytical skills;
- Able to work efficiently under pressure;
- Able to understand and suggest business concepts / directions, to integrate information from different functions of the organization in order to optimize processes;
- Flexible and able to make decisions quickly, permanently adapting to business demands;
- Driving licence – B category;
- Available for travel more than 60% of the working time.
