Adecco Professional & Executive Search is looking for one of its clients, a prestigious diary producer, for a National FS&QA Manager, based in Cluj Napoca or Targu Mures.
Purpose of the function
Assure the delivery of Food Safe and Quality Assured products. Define and execute strategy for QA-organization; in charge of implementing, controlling, improving and reviewing FS&QA-systems in line with the BG strategy, in order to contribute to, maximize results and strengthen the position of the company’ products.
MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Management advice and support:
· Advises proactively on QA, and, in order to ensure the awareness on these issues in decision-making, improve the professionalization and minimize the related business risks.
Food Safety & Quality Assurance:
· To guarantee FS&QA-strategy , quality assurance, risk analysis and quality control in line with legislation and company rules resulting in compliance processes with ISO-architecture, GMP, HACCP, etc. and product quality in line with specifications
Food Legislation:
· Ensures the monitoring of national and international food legislation developments, the translation into local corporate guidelines and advice to Management of the company in contacts with external (controlling) institutions, in order to stimulate the knowledge on food legislation throughout the company, and support the promotion of the company’s interests.
Issue and Crisis Management:
· Is responsible for the development and maintenance of issue-records, dedicated to risks on food safety and dairy affairs issues, in order to support the Management in situations that can result in crisis, and to minimize the risks of potential crises.· Monitors national and international developments on public issues, advises management on these affairs, and formulates guidelines and official statements, so that management has up to date knowledge and is supported in decisions related to these issues.
· Co-ordinates the corporate handling of all crises dedicated to risks on food safety and dairy affairs, advises management on the adequate manner of handling of crises and minimization of the related effects and risks. Is involved in internal and external communication on crises according to internal procedures and management decision.
Network:
· Maintains contacts with relevant individuals, companies and national and international institutions, within corporate, resulting in up-to-date knowledge on national and international trends and developments on food safety/food legislation issues and dairy affairs, environment and safe working environment and an optimal promotion of the company’s interests.
Project management:
· Manages the project portfolio, resulting in qualitative projects within agreed time and budget.
Budget Control:
· Controls the budget(s) of the department, takes corrective actions when necessary, and ensures adequate reporting, to ensure that the departments deliver their budgets.
Human Resources Management:
· Is responsible to manage the human resources management process (5 direct subordinates), in compliance with the company Human Resources Management policy, resulting in the desired organizational structure and culture practices.
Education, level of experience:
Bachelor’s degree, with more focus on experience (+10 years of experience in QA/QC; food safety and food know-how is a plus;)
Proven experience in leading a QA/QC team, with a proven track record of driving sustainable performance against challenging business targets
