Commodity Manager
Location - Cluj
The company is a multinational industry leader, specialized in production.
Responsibilities:
• Monitors continuously the market conditions and industry trends in order to find the best business opportunities regarding possible new commodity suppliers for the company;
• Analyses the East European supply base to prepare and recommend commodity suppliers to be added/ removed from the Supplier List;
• Works together with the Quality Department in order to find the best commodity suppliers that meet the business needs of the company;
• Participates at meetings with suppliers in order to negotiate improvements for prices, product quality and time of delivery;
• Negotiates and signs new collaboration contracts with suppliers;
• Monitors supplier performance and identify cost reduction and improvement opportunities;
• Conducts supplier analysis, evaluates potential suppliers, and manages the overall supplier qualification process;
• Develops and creates sourcing plans, requests for proposal, and other sourcing documents;
• Recommends purchasing and sourcing decision to management;
• Manages the tactical purchasing decisions;
• Establishes and maintains effective relationships with the company’s suppliers and internal customers;
• Ensure that the supply chain is as stable as possible;
• Manages the supplier interface to assure that customer needs are met through collaborative problem-solving and negotiations to achieve the desired outcomes.
• 5 years experience in purchasing in multinational environment;
• Technical background;
• Knowledge of the production environment and process flow;
• Knowledge of the Eastern Supply Base;
• English – advanced level;
• Availability for frequent traveling ;
• Ability to work independently, self-starter.
