Job description:
The Technical Trainer is responsible for the development, delivery and maintenance of technical training programmes provided by the newly established Acision Training Department. They are regarded as a subject matter expert across a subset of Acision's products and works independently under minimal supervision.
The successful candidate will work in a highly technical environment, together with other Technical Trainers, supervised by either a Senior Trainer or the Training Manager.
Initiative, flexibility, self - organisation and analytical skills are seen as key qualities in a technical trainer and are valued as highly as their knowledge base. The work environment is informal and encourages sharing and development of ideas and knowledge between staff members.
The position is based in Brno, international travel will be required, particularly during the initial period.
• Professional Qualification in Engineering / Computer Science / Mathematics / Physics or equivalent.
• An ITIL Service foundation certification is preferred.
• Because of international environment, fluent English (both verbal and written) is a must. Second language (particularly French, German or Russian) are desirable.
• Unix or OpenVMS experience, preferably with a formal certification.
• Capability of writing UNIX shell scripts.
• Capability of troubleshooting and diagnosing enterprise server hardware.
• At least 2 years practical experience in TCP/IP and Networking protocols, preferably formally certified.
• At least 2 years practical experience of configuring and troubleshooting databases, preferably formally certified.
• At least 1 year practical experience in using relevant Telco protocols
• At least 2 years experience in the computer or telecoms industry within a highly technical and business critical environment.
• Previous experience in training (e.g. teacher, instructor).
• Practical experience in the development of course materials and/or presentations is a significant advantage.
