• Prepare and book monthly accounting entries, purchase ledger, sales ledger, banking
• Oversee cash flow planning and assure availability of founds as needed
• Responsible for the preparation of accounting records, stock control, bank reconciliations
• Analyze and review accounting statements for accuracy and integrity
• Comply with accounting procedures, internal controls (implementing, monitoring, enhancing) and database management
• Audit work flow to ensure that all accounting transactions are appropriately authorized
• Liaise with management when required to review accounts by business line
• Work on special projects, such as audit preparation, budgets, etc when required
• Coordinate with country managers to post charges as appropriate
• Allow no significant deficiencies from a SOX perspective in General Ledger
• Prepare and coordinate accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Assist Supply chain manager with asset and inventory transactions.
• Manage as required simple office vendor relationships i.e. water, power etc.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor and Regional Manager
• Able to meet deadlines
• Travel as required
• Very good English speaking and writing skills
• Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organisation.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
