You will work in a professional software development team
-responsible for the development of a world-class innovative product: 1&1 MyWebsite (http://mywebsite.1and1.com). Your work will affect over 200.000 businesses from all over the world;

And, most important of all, you will be a part of our young and dynamic ePublishing Applications Romania team.
As part of our team you will
-lead the technical direction of the Editor component of our CMS system;
-be responsible for end-to-end cross functional design and communication;
-be able to support the team on various technical implementations by taking an active developer role;
-work with the Requirements Engineer to group features based upon the architectural elements which support them, and influence priorities;
-test architectural elements with executable and testable design;
-facilitate technical decision; incorporate feedback and emergent patterns from the team back in to the overall design
-produce alternate design concepts & detailed approach as needed;
-ensure the design goals – performance, modularity, reliability, maintainability, re-usability, internationalization and accessibility – are met;
-ensure technical cohesion and help write the technical contract in interfaces and other abstract objects and data entities;
-lead design review & provide feedback;
-be responsible for conducting forward leaning technology investigations (spikes);
-work closely with Product Owner and Requirements Engineer to educate Product Owner about the architectural implications of items in the product backlog;
-observe and understand the broader system environment;
-learn and gather knowledge about other applications in our organization;
-work closely with team seniors and other product/system/platform/division architects;
-involve, motivate and obtain the buy-in of the team seniors;
-create/ensure technical standards (coding standards, tools, or platforms) and an application framework for our product development;
-subdivide a complex application, during the design phase, into smaller, more manageable pieces;
-grasp the functions of each component within the application;
-understand the interactions and dependencies among components;
-communicate these concepts to developers and stakeholders;
-support / come up with strategies for enhancing our product quality and competitiveness.
If you have:
Technical expertise in Web Application development . . .
-experience in designing complex web applications in a large team environment;
-expert knowledge of web applications development;
-expert knowledge of PHP 5 (at least 5 years of experience);
-experience with at least one major PHP framework;
-solid understanding of OOP, best practices and design patterns;
-expert SQL knowledge and experience with at least one RDMS and one PHP ORM;
-expert JavaScript skills (at least 3 years of experience with JS OOP designs);
-experience with jQuery;
-experience with new features of HTML5 and CSS3;
-very good knowledge of cross browser development techniques;
-very good knowledge of Web Security practices;
-very good Linux knowledge.
Also, you should have:
-experience with modeling/data flow diagrams/UML notations;
-openness to learn and work with new technologies;
-very good command of the English language;
-good communication skills and enthusiastic attitude;
-an orientation toward product competitiveness and quality;
-readiness to travel abroad.
Would be a plus:
experience related to online website builders development;
-experience with mobile devices frontend development;
-experience with Selenium;
-experience with Zend Framework;
-knowledge of German language.
